The state-run Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC) is setting up a major industrial area near Lara village in Raigarh district. The vehement protest from the villagers forced the authorities to bow down before the public pressure.
The Presiding Officer, N K Saharia in the evening announced that the public hearing had been suspended. The district administration had convened a public hearing on Saturday for environment clearance.
