After Rajdhani Express and Shatabdi Express, the Indian Railways now has a `Colgate Express' running in Calcutta.

Metro Railway, the underground rail service in the city, may soon have its one dozen trains named after various corporate houses or brands. The `Colgate Express' made its appearance on July 7.

The brand-a-name concept is expected to be sold to Whirlpool, Nestle and Union Bank, among others. Negotiations are on to rope in ITC Ltd and Aristrocrat to name the trains after a cigarette and liquor brand, provided the Indian Railways does not implement a total ban on tobacco and liquor advertisements.

Metro Railway officials told Business Standard they do not want their trains to be named after corporate houses.
