The MSP of the produce should be fixed before the time of harvesting, BKU president Mahendra Singh Tikait told reporters at the headquarters here.
Tikait demanded the MSP of wheat to be fixed at Rs 1,500 per quintal, paddy at Rs 6,000 and sugarcane Rs 350 per quintal.
He alleged that the state policy had "failed to resolve problems faced by farmers" and announced that BKU would stage demonstration in every district headquarters on July 21, to raise the issue.
