FSL gets National Resource Centre status

| "The Centre has given the status to FSL," minister of state for home Amit Shah told Business Standard. The FSL designs degree and diploma level courses for universities. |
| The government has, so far, spent over Rs 30 crore on FSL, which has dealt with some of the most high-profile criminal cases. "The laboratory has also been instrumental in dealing with training sessions, where police and army officials participate," said a senior official of FSL. |
| Recently, 21 police officials from Nepal had come for a training programme. So far, nearly 100 officials had undergone training programmes here. |
| Among some of the most high-profile cases to have been referred to FSL are the Telgi scam, Madhumita Shukla murder case, Nithari case, and the Parliament attack case. |
