Govt approves Rs 76.59 cr road projects in Orissa

The government today approved nine projects related to road improvement work in Orissa entailing cost of Rs 76.59 crore under the Central Road Fund Scheme.     

Shipping, Road Transport and Highways Minister T R Baalu approved the Rs 38.25-crore project for improvement of various stretches in Jagannathpur-Berhampur-Phulbani road and Chharichk to Phulbani in Ganjam and Phulbani districts, an official statement said. 
    
The Minister also approved Rs 12.71-crore project for widening of the Kalugoan-Bonai road in Sundargarh district. A Rs 8.10-crore project for Nayagarh-Odogaon-Laukhal road in Sundargarh also approved.     

Other works include an expenditure of Rs 10.94 crore for Sambalpur-Sonepur road in Bolangir district.
