Govt to release WPI data every Thursday at 5 pm

Analysts said the release of price data after market hours would allow participants to better digest the index movement and perhaps avoid the immediate negative impact on stock market sentiment.

The WPI based annual inflation rate has provisionally risen to near 12 per cent in June.
