Inviting entrepreneurs and business executives from Silicon Valley to the Vibrant Gujarat investment summit scheduled to be held in January 2013, a government and business delegation from Gujarat on Tuesday made a strong pitch for investments into Gujarat from the United States.
A government and business delegation led by Ravi Saxena, additional secretary, department of science and technology, Gujarat government is visiting Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle in an effort to reach out to the US west coast and invite businesses and institutions to attend the bi-annual Vibrant Gujarat Summit.
"At an event organized by the US India Business Council (USIBC) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Palo Alto, California, Saxena, highlighted Gujarat's strengths in terms of reliable energy and infrastructure systems, its strategic location providing access from its western coast, as some of the reasons why businesses in California should look to invest in Gujarat," Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) said in a statement.
