The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has earmarked Rs 320 crore for the development of infrastructure during the current financial year. Last year, the corporation spent Rs 1,045 crore on infrastructure development, which included Rs 831 crore on land acquisition.
HSIIDC managing director Rajeev Arora said the corporation had chalked out a detailed plan for acquisition of land and development of industrial infrastructure during the current financial year in the state. HSIIDC plans to acquire an additional 3,000 acres of land for around Rs 1,250 crore.
Besides, it has drawn up major land acquisition plans at various locations including 1,900 acres at IMT Rohtak, 650 acres at Barhi industrial estate, 305 acres at IMT Manakpur and 234 acres at the industrial estate in Karnal.
The corporation registered a gross income of Rs 147 crore during 2008-09, as against Rs 106 crore during the previous year, a growth of 38.67 per cent. Net profit during the year stood at Rs 61 crore as against Rs 44 crore during the previous year.
The corporation also incurred an expenditure of Rs 1,411 crore on development of industrial infrastructure including Rs 1,217 crore on land acquisition, he added.
