India fastest growing cabling mkt in APAC

| "The growth is expected to be driven by a number of factors, including increasing the supply and decreasing cost of Internet bandwidth. More domestic companies are hosting their mission critical applications such as enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management in third-party data centres," said AMI Partners vice-president (APAC) Raju Chellam. |
| AMI expects an increasing convergence to be a growth factor as cable operators and telecommunications companies roll out 'triple play' services and solutions covering television, telephone and broadband Internet access over a single network. |
| "The Indian structured cabling market is growing faster than that of China's (expected to witness 13.6 CAGR). However, in market size, Chinese market ($230 million) will be larger than India's ($125 million)," he pointed out. |
| The study was commissioned by Systimax Solutions, a unit of the $1.6 billion CommScope, provider of structured connectivity solutions. |
| "The APAC region and India in particular, presents a great opportunity for growing our business. We are already active in this country through business partners. India is the fastest-growing market for us. We will continue our focus on this country," said Systimax Solutions vice-president and managing director (APAC) Ispran Kandasamy. |
