Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati yesterday warned that the BSP-BJP alliance would not remain a silent spectator if the Centre tried to dismiss the state government to serve the vested interest of the Samajwadi Party.
Speaking to newsmen at a luncheon press conference here Mayawati charged the Samajwadi Party and its leaders with trying to disturb the communal harmony in the state and warned them that her government would crush all those elements who indulged in such activities.
Our alliance too has an effective strength of Parliamentarians alongwith leader of opposition Atal Behari Vajpayee at the Centre and it was capable of giving a befitting reply to the nefarious designs of the Samajwadi Party, the Chief Minister said.
