Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL), the power distribution arm of the state government is not going for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) as of now, a top official said today.
When asked whether the company has plans for an IPO like Mahatransco, a transmission company of the state government, Ajay Bhushan Pandey, managing director of MSEDCLl, also called Mahavitaran said, "We have not given serious thought to it as yet".
Recently, Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company (Mahatransco) had indicated it was seeking state government's approval for an IPO.
