Nabard sanctions 472.1 cr loan for infra projects

The sanctioned loan will be used yo improve infrastructure facilities in the government high schools including construction of additional classrooms, libraries, computer rooms, science labs, for lab equipments, toilet blocks, drinking water and to buy furniture for classrooms.

The project will be implemented by the education department, which will help over 8 lakh students every year.

The sanctioned amount also include a project for comprehensive development of Adi Dravidar Habitations in 30 districts across the state to strengthen the roads which connects SC/ST habitations, drainage works, creating drinking water facilities, construction of weekly baazar buildings.

This project will be executed along with Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation Ltd.

For the current fiscal Nabard so far sanctioned Rs 803.31 crore of loan. The cummulative sanctions for the state crossed Rs 5800 crore over the years.
