The US Embassy here will soon roll out a new web-based visa application form to further improve the accuracy and efficiency of the process of issuing the travel document.
The Embassy said for all Non Immigrant Visa (NIV) appointments starting February one, applicants will need to fill out the new DS-160 form which will be available online from January 19.
"The DS 160 NIV application takes advantage of new technologies to serve our visa applicants better," a release issued by the Embassy said.
It said applicants will continue to complete visa application forms online, as they previously did with the Electronic Visa Application Form.
"With the new form, the applicant will be required to upload a visa photograph and submit the form via the Internet," it said.
As the new form is web-based, it can be revised and improved as and when necessary, the release said.
