NEWSALERT: Panel proposes wheat at Rs 2/kg, rice at Rs 3/kg for needy

NEWSALERT: Rangarajan Committee on Food Bill favours assured delivery of wheat at Rs 2/kg and rice at Rs 3/kg to needy households and for the rest depending on availability of foodgrains.

Legal entitlement over foodgrains should be given only to priority households (46 per cent rural and 28 per cent urban) under the proposed Food Bill, says Rangarajan Panel.
