NRHM likely to get five-year extension

The National Rural Health Mission, government's flagship scheme to improve healthcare services in rural areas, could be extended for another five years. The Union Cabinet is likely to approve extension of the scheme launched in 2005 as a seven-year programme as it is yet to achieve several of its its goals.
