The government-owned State Infrastructure and Industrial Development Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited (Sidcul) has approved plans to form joint venture (JV) with Container Corporation of India Ltd (Concor) to develop two logistic hubs in the hill state with an estimated investments of Rs 300 crore.
The move came after the Sidcul selected Concor through open bidding for developing the two logistic hubs — one each in the industrial hubs of Pantnagar and Haridwar. “The Sidcul Board during the weekend has approved plans for forming joint venture between Sidcul and Concor,” said a top government official. The joint venture company will develop the logistic hubs at the industrial towns of Pantnagar and Haridwar.
The main feature of the logistic hubs would be to work as a transport facility for the industry.
