Giving an example of Israel during a press conference in Kolhapur on Friday, Raviv Byron chief of IICC pointed out that even in a very limited quantity of land the country has witnessed a huge development in the field of agriculture apart from dairy, poultry, food processing and other agro-based activities as also in marketing techniques mainly because of introduction of new technology in agriculture and marketing. "The same technology wil be provided to Indian agriculture," said Byron.
New technology is to be introduced to agriculture for development of agricultural productivity in order to meet national as also global requirements.
One of the first attempts to achieve this has been to create awareness among farmers' organizations and representatives who will have interaction with industries which are introducing new technology and farm equipments to the farm sector.
The conference, the first of its kind, was held with joint efforts of the Maharashtra Economic Development Council (MEDC) and Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MACCIA) along with local industrial and business organisations.
