The production committee of the Tobacco Board has fixed the total crop size at 13.6 crore kg for the entire country.
While the crop size has been fixed at 9.705 crore kg for Andhra Pradesh, it is 3.44 crore kg for Karnataka and 10 lakh kg for Orissa, P Dayachari, chairman of the board said.
Levels have been thus fixed because this happens to be the most crucial year of the crop after the crop-holiday last season, he told Business Standard.
