The Dharmsinh Desai University (DDU), Nadiad, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with KHS AG, a German company manufacturing filling and packaging equipment.
 
Under the agreement, students of the university would get training from KHS. The training programme would start from the forthcoming academic year.
 
Under the initiative, the students would also collaborate with the company in research and industrial projects.
 
Yatindra R Sharma, executive director, KHS Machinery Pvt Ltd, and vice-president, Dharmsinh Desai University Alumni Association (DDUAA), said: "We are happy to announce the MoU between KHS AG, Germany, and Dharmsinh Desai University. The company will sponsor training programmes for graduate and post-graduate students."
 
KHS AG is a 100 per cent subsidiary of Klockner-Werke AG. A manufacturer of filling and packaging equipment for the beverage, food and non-food industry, KHS AG has eight production facilities across the globe, including one in India.
