The TDP has reportedly refused the offer of spacious chambers used by the previous government chief whip, which was well connected to the present Telugu Desam Legislature Party office, purely on the grounds of Vaastu.
According to sources, the office which was offered to Naidu has a floor level which is lower than other offices adjacent to it. This according to Vaastu is not propitious.
Assembly authorities have offered to raise the floor level of the chambers but Naidu who has become very superstitious after the assassination bid on him, has reportedly refused to enter the chambers.
Ever since the arrangements for the Budget session were being made, the TDP has been asking the Speaker to allot the office which is at present in the possession of the Congress Legislature Party's possession.
Though it is the prerogative of the Speaker to allot chambers and offices for legislative parties, the TDP's persistent claim for its office has naturally irked the Congress party.
The issue became even more serious when Naidu, accusing the speaker for acting in tandem with Congress party in allotment of offices, declared that he would rather sit under the trees than accept their offer.
