Chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy will launch an aggressive awareness campaign between October 7 and 29 on the development and welfare programmes being undertaken by his government.

He interacted with senior officials on Monday to discuss the draft blueprint on the 'development and people's participation' comprising the region-wise details of development programmes undertaken in the last 27 years as compared with the development in the last 50 years.

The state government has already prepared a comprehensive blueprint on the all-round development of the Telangana region.

The blueprint includes conducting awareness camps up to the village-level, organising exhibitions and camps, distribution of literature in the form of handbills, audio-visual cassettes and video campaigns. Similar blueprints on the development of coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema will be prepared soon.

"Once we are ready with our region-wise blueprints, it is for you to take them to the people," thetold all the key departments, including information and public relations.

The chief minister said that he had already obtained a comprehensive feedback on the implementation of the government programmes and schemes such as Jalayagnam, Indiramma, power supply and Indira Prabha.

"I will interact with the people and local public representatives to personally understand the problems and progress in the implementation of various programmes," he said.
