CPI(M) today demanded repolling in 90 booths in Palladam and Sulur assembly segments falling under Coimbatore Lok Sabha constituency, which polled 84 % as compared to other segments in the constituency.
In a letter Election officials the party said areas in Singanallur, Coimbatore North and South and Koundenpalayam assembly segments the polling percentage was below 80.
However, in two rural and semi-urban areas of Palladam and Sulur, nearly 90 booths out of the total 603, polling crossed 84 %.
The party also suspected money and muscle power behind such a huge turn out compared to other areas.
