YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) candidate for the Allagadda Assembly constituency in Kurnool district, Shobha Nagi Reddy, died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital here on Thursday. She was 45 and survived by husband, two daughters and a son.

Shobha, who had been the deputy floor leader of YSRCP in Assembly, sustained serious injuries when the vehicle in which she was traveling met with an accident late on Wednesday night.

The death of a key leader like Shobha during the thick of electioneering is being considered as a set back to YSRCP , particularly in Kurnool district.
