Rahul Gandhi promises lateral entry to ex-servicemen in civil services

According to a PTI article, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday promised to give lateral entry to ex-servicemen in civil services and open up the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) to them, if voted to power.
 
Taking to Twitter, Gandhi said the country's ex-servicemen are India's pride and they must be given the respect they deserve.

Congress asks EC to take action against NaMo TV

According to PTI, the Congress on Wednesday accused PM Narendra Modi of mocking and trampling upon democratic norms by "brazenly" running 'NaMo TV' and asked the Election Commission to put a stop to this "misuse" of the media that seeks to disturb the level-playing field during elections. The channel, also called 'Content TV', carries the picture of Prime Minister Modi as its logo. Launched ahead of Lok Sabha polls beginning April 11, it is available on various DTH and cable TV platforms.

SC to hear pleas challenging issuance of electoral bonds on April 5

The Supreme Court on Wednesday said it will hear the pleas challenging the validity of the Centre's decision on issuance of electoral bonds for political funding on April 5. The Centre had said the electoral bonds were introduced on January 2, 2018 to promote transparency in funding and donations received by political parties.
