It would first cover 25 branches on a pilot basis in six months. Later, more branches would be covered to bring over 65% business under CBS in the first phase. The entire project would be completed in about three years,

said, after signing an MoU with TCS here today.

As a part of TCS-led six member consortium, Bharti Tel would provide bandwidth, while CMC would extend facilities management support. TCS would conduct current state and gap analysis, train employees and be responsible for systems integration, including networking and disaster recovery set-up.

CBS would provide common platform for retail, corporate, trade finance and delivery channels to provide internet, phone and mobile banking.Beside CBS, the bank is also working on medium term branch and ATM policy. It plans to reorganise branch-network and open new branches in Southern region and select places which provide growth opportunities, Singh said.
