City Union PAT rises 22 per cent
City Union Bank reported a 22 per cent increase in its profit after tax to Rs 26.24 crore in the first quarter of 2008-09 from Rs 21.36 crore in the same period last year.
Cholamandalam net drops 62%
Cholamandalam DBS Finance Company on Wednesday reported a 60 per cent drop in its net for the first quarter ended June 2008 at Rs 3.15 crore from Rs 8.3 crore in the year-ago period. The company’s total revenue increased by 90 per cent to Rs 319 crore from Rs 168 crore in the quarter under review.
The vehicle finance business rose by 43 per cent, while the income from personal loans went up by 45 per cent during the quarter.
