Hdfc Bank May Enter Home Loan Mart Next Fiscal

HDFC Bank is likely to get into the home loan arena by the next fiscal. Mortgage products are the only retail product which the bank has not stepped into even as its retail advances now account for 27 per cent of its total advances.

The bank is also in talks with its parent Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) to start selling home loans of the latter for which the bank will receive commission.
