ICICI Bank eyes to facilitate mChek services to customers

ICICI Bank today announced an association with mChek, a leading mobile service provider, to facilitate mChek services to all ICICI debit and credit card customers.     

These were electronic cards issued to the mChek application on the customer's mobile phone, a company release said here today.      Visa International, a leading international electronic payment network, had earlier approved mChek as a platform which could issue an electronic mChek Visa card to deliver the convenience of mobile transaction with added security.     

The customer could use the mChek Visa credit or debit card to perform various transactions like bill payments (postpaid and other utilities), recharge, money transfers, pay insurance premiums, buy air tickets, movie tickets or perform any other merchant transcations using their ICICI bank debit or credit card.     

The card data was stored in a fully encrypted form on the phone, which ensures full security and reduced risk of fraud for card based transactions, the release added.
