The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is going all out to boost its premium income, aiming at the rich celebrities and executives as well as the rural villagers. Its prime target is the rich MBA and IT executive drawing a handsome 6-digit package.

At the same time, knowing where its bread is buttered, with 52 per cent of its premium income coming from the rural market, LIC is pushing its rural sales, by tapping the villagers themselves to facilitate the canvassing process.
