Sentiment: Bearish Government security prices rose on expectations that there would not be any repo rate hike in the mid-term review of the RBI's annual policy.
Prices of medium-term gilts went up by 30-40 paise, while those of short-term securities gained 15-20 paise.
Yields on the ten- and 11-year papers closed at the same level of 6.76 per cent.
Call rates ended higher at 4.60-4.70 per cent.
Repo outstandings stood at Rs 5,095 crore. |
