Reliance Capital profit rises 5%
Reliance Capital today posted a 5 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 343.1 crore in the quarter ended June 2008 against Rs 325.3 crore in the corresponding period last year. The company posted a 31 per cent rise in its total income at Rs 1,544.6 crore compared with Rs 1,176.2 crore in the period under consideration.
DCB bottom line down 5%
Development Credit Bank (DCB) on Wednesday recorded a 5 per cent decline in its June 2008 quarter net profit to Rs 5.44 crore from Rs 5.74 crore in the year-ago period.
J&K Bank net up 14%
Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Bank announced a 14 per cent surge in net profit, buoyed by strong interest income. The net profit rose to Rs 94.56 crore for the first quarter ended June 30 from Rs 83.24 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.
