Two Videocon Companies Plan To Raise Rs 110 Crore

Two companies of the Videocon group-Videocon Appliances Ltd and Videocon Communication Ltd- propose to raise a combined capital of nearly Rs 110 crore through private placement of secured non-convertible debentures.

Videocon Appliances plans to raise a capital of not exceeding Rs 60 crore while Videocon Communication intends to mop up a maximum of Rs 50 crore through debenture issues. The final terms and conditions of the debenture issues are yet to be worked out.

Sources said the boards of the companies would meet on Monday to discuss the nitty-gritty of the debenture issues. The issues are expected to be meant for funding the companies
