The Central Government is providing massive relief and coordinating timely rescue operations in the flood affected State of J&K. The National Crisis Management Committee (NCMC) chaired by the Cabinet Secretary Shri Ajit Seth met every day for the last two weeks to take detailed and meticulous stock of the day-to-day situation in the flood affected State. Reviewing the situation with the State Government Authorities every day, the Cabinet Secretary directed the concerned Central Ministries and Departments to provide immediate and necessary assistance to flood affected people and the areas.
