The suspected driver of a truck that ploughed into a Berlin Christmas market on Monday, killing 12 people and injuring 48 others, was a 23-year-old from Pakistan named Naved B., German newspaper Bild reported on Tuesday.

Citing sources involved in the investigation, Bild added that the man arrived in Germany around a year ago.
