The Institute of Management Technology (IMT) plans to open its third campus in Ghaziabad by the end of this year to cater to the needs of working professionals by offering them distance learning modules.

The institute already has two campuses in Ghaziabad. However the new campus will exclusively offer courses through distance learning. IMT has acquired land for the campus whose construction will start soon and will be operational by the end of this year.

“This campus will offer short term Management Development Programmes (MDPs) for working professionals. It will be rich in academic resources like books and journals besides having a digital library,” said Arun Mohan Sherry, chairman, Joint Admission Committee at IMT. The institute has around 40 faculty members for distance learning but plans to recruit around a hundred people this year.

IMT is also keen on opening an international campus in Singapore, Malaysia or Taiwan besides the existing one in Dubai. The Dubai campus, that was inaugurated recently, currently has 250 seats but will be ramped up by 200 seats conducting admissions twice a year. “We will decide on the new international campus depending on the number of Indian students in that place and its proximity from India. The new campus might come up in 2-3 years,” added Sherry.
