 "132 non-A group stocks hit 52-week high")
Tide Water Oil (India), Nilkamal, Stovec Industries, 8K Miles Software Services, Sequent Scientific, Bharat Bijlee and Can Fin Homes are among 132 non-A group stocks have touched their respective 52-week highs on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today.
Tide Water Oil (India) has locked in upper circuit of 20% at Rs 20,798 after the company said that its board of directors will meet on 15 January 2016, to consider declaration of bonus issue and stock split for the shareholders.
Kwality surged nearly 10% to Rs 149, extending its past three days 24% gain on the BSE, after the dairy product manufacturer, roped in Akshay Kumar as the brand ambassador for the company and its entire range of dairy products.
Donear Industries has locked in upper circuit of 10% at Rs 28.80 on back of heavy volumes. A combined 1.66 million shares changed hands and there were pending buy orders for 220,121 shares on the BSE and NSE.
Since November 13, the stock appreciated 216% from Rs 13.34 after the company engaged in textile business reported net profit of Rs 2.10 crore for the quarter ended September 2015 against Rs 1.07 crore in a year ago quarter.
Shares of pharmaceutical company Sequent Scientific was up 6% to Rs 1,279 on back of over five-fold jump in trading volumes. The stock rallied 44% from Rs 886 on November 16, after the company allotted 2.8 million equity shares at a price of Rs 236 per equity share to the promoter group entities against conversion of equivalent number of warrants held by them.
Earlier this month, Sequent Scientific had allotted 2.83 million shares representing 5.8% of total diluted share capital of the company to Ascent for consideration other than cash at a price of Rs 669.10 per equity share, consequent to receipt from FIPB for issue of shares to Unit Trust of India Investment Advisory Services A/C Ascent India Fund III.
MT Educare soared 6% to Rs 184, extending its 25% rally in past three trading sessions on the BSE, after the company launched its Robmate+ App in co-ordination with Global Education Trust (GET) its CSR partner.
On Friday, December 18, Ashish Ramchandra Kacholia had bought 258,043 shares or 0.65% stake in MT Educare at Rs 167 per share from the open market. On Thursday, Abhinandan Leasing and Finance had purchased 206,204 equity shares of the company at price of Rs 146.80 per share, the bulk deal data shows.
