Tyre production during the first four months of the fiscal (April-July 2001-02) remained stagnant at 35.9 lakh tyres as against 36.0 lakh during the same period last year.
Though there has been a positive growth in almost all segments of the industry, the overall tyre sector has recorded no growth, according to estimates compiled by the Automobile Tyre Manufacturers Association (ATMA).
