The Alstom Projects India stock rose 7.58 per cent to Rs 326.95 on the announcement of positive fourth quarter results. The net profit rose more than 17-fold to Rs 26.19 crore in the quarter ended March 2009, while total income rose 57 per cent to Rs 817.2 crore.
The stock opened at Rs 312.30 and made an intraday high and low of Rs 340.70 and Rs 302.15 respectively. The counter witnessed trading volumes of 327,000 shares. The scrip made a 52-week high of Rs 698.9 (April 29, 2008) and a low of Rs 191 (October 27, 2008).
