Asian markets in red; Nikkei down 325pts

Asian markets are in negative zone this morning following the bearish sentiment worldwide.

The Hang Seng has slumped 457 points to 17,225. The Nikkei has plunged 325 points to 10,148.

The Taiwan Weighted index has dropped 39 points to 5,467. The Straits Times index is up four points at 2,172, while the Seoul Composite index is down 10 points at 1,348.

The Shanghai Composite index has shed 42 points at 2,131.
