Asian markets in red; Nikkei down 95pts

Asian markets are in negative territory this morning.

The Hang Seng has plunged 272 points to 15,226. The Nikkei has slipped 95 points to 8,572.

The Taiwan Weighted index has shed 49 points at 4,646. The Straits Times is down eight points at 1,791, and the Seoul Composite index is up five points at 1,181.

The Shanghai Composite index is up six points at 2,022.
