Asian markets subdued, China's economy cools

Asian indices are trading flat on mixed cues; Wall Street bounced back to end in green on back of weakening green back and better-than-expected earnings, however China's growth in the third quarter slowed down.
The Dow Jones industrial average gained 1.18 %, to 11,107.97, the Standard & Poor's 500 Index rose 1.05 %, to 1,178.17, the Nasdaq Composite Index added 0.84 percent, to 2,457.39.
China's economic growth slowed to 9.6% in the thrid quarter, lower than 10.3% growth in the second quarter; Shanghai Composite did not react negatively to this data, the index surged 0.2%. Hong Kong's Hange Seng index has gained 0.4%; financials have lend support.
Japan's Nikkei share average surged 0.2% in early trades on back of rally in resource related and commodity shares which were badly hurt yesterday.
Seoul Composite and Strait Times are trading marginally in the red.
