The BEML scrip surged 17.3 per cent to close at Rs 1,061 on announcement of healthy quarterly numbers. The company’s net profit rose 45 per cent to Rs 172 crore in the March quarter, while its total income increased 16 per cent to Rs 1,282 crore in the same period.
Quarterly results were better than full year results - annual net profit and income grew by 19 per cent and 10 per cent, respectively. The stock made an intraday high of Rs 1,079 and a low of Rs 914.8. The stock has gained over 41 per cent in the last one month.
