Bharti Airtel dips on losing 1 mn mobile users in September

Bharti Airtel has dipped over 3% to Rs 259 after the telecom services provider lost almost one million mobile customers in September, according to data released by the Cellular Operators Association of India.

“Bharti's mobile customer base declined 0.98 million to 185.9 million as of September as carriers in the world’s second-biggest wireless services market continue to disconnect inactive users in a clean-up drive,” the Reuters report suggests.

The stock opened at Rs 267 and hit a high of Rs 260 on the NSE. A combined 2.72 million shares have changed hands on the counter so far on both the exchanges.
