The NSE Nifty has gained 37 points at 4,228.
BHEL has gained 3% to Rs 1,434. TCS has advanced 3% to Rs 869. Ranbaxy has advanced 2.7% to Rs 539. Tata Steel has gained 2.7% to Rs 730. Bharti has moved up 2.6% to Rs 769. Hindalco is up 2.5% to Rs 148.
RCom, Reliance Infra, Reliance, ONGC, DLF, Maruti, Ambuja Cements, HUL, HDFC Bank, NTPC and ACC are the other gainers.
HDFC has plunged 4.6% to Rs 2,136. ITC has shed 4% at Rs 182.
