Strong domestic, export demand also supported prices

Continuing its rising trend, cardamom prices rose by Rs 18.90 to Rs 1,253.80 per kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in enlarging their positions, supported by strong domestic and export demand.
Apart from it, restricted arrivals in the spot markets also helped the Cardamom to surge at futures trade.
At the MCX, cardamom for delivery in June rose by Rs 18.90, or 1.53%, to Rs 1,253.80 per kg, with a business turnover of 335 lots.
The delivery in July also increased by Rs 18.40, or 1.47%, to Rs 1,268.70 per kg, with a trading volume of 881 lots.
Traders said restricted supplies from the producing regions against strong domestic and export demand also influenced cardamom prices at futures trade.
