Supported by a pick up in spot market demand, cardamom prices traded higher by Rs 13.60 to Rs 1,311.70 per kg in futures trade today.
Tight stocks position in the physical market following restricted supplies from producing regions further fuelled the uptrend in cardamom prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the June contract gained Rs 13.60, or 1.05%, to Rs 1,311.70 per kg, with a business turnover of 28 lots.
The April contract moved up by Rs 4.80, or 0.47%, to Rs 1,036 per kg, with a business turnover of 77 lots.
Traders said besides pick up in demand in the spot market, restricted arrivals from producing region mainly kept cardamom prices higher at futures market here.
