With record opening stocks and improved production prospects, prices will trend lower. The benchmark variety Shankar6 spot price is quoting at Rs 34,000/ candy (356 kg). Expect prices to drop to Rs 33,500-Rs 33,000/candy in a week to ten days.
Maize
Maize is trading at Rs 1,535/quintal in Nizamabad, and prices are expected to trade lower towards Rs 1,500/quintal for the coming week tracking approaching peak arrivals and ongoing stock liquidation by Andhra Pradesh and Telangana markfed.
