Copper trades 0.9% higher on global cues

Prices rose on increased buying by speculators

Copper futures for April traded higher by Rs 3.45, or 0.91% to Rs 382.05 per kg in 12,350 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the June contract gained Rs 3.30, or 0.86% to Rs 386.80 per kg in 2368 lots.

Prices rose on increased buying by speculators.

Speculators enlarged their positions in tandem with a firm global trend, mainly led to rise in copper prices at futures market.

On the London Metal Exchange (LME), copper rose 0.9% to $7,090 a tonne.
