F&O Update: Nifty 4,300, 4,200 puts see significant jump in open interest

The Nifty September futures is trading at a marginal discount of three points at 4,293 as against the spot Nifty which is down 64 points at 4,296. The counter has seen trades of around 3.07 lakh contracts and the open interest (OI) has increased by 19.60 lakh shares to 3.20 crore shares.

CALL ACTION

The Nifty September 4,400 call is the most active call, so far, and the counter has seen trades of around 57,250 contracts. The open interest has increased by 10.42 lakh shares to 27.71 lakh shares.

The Nifty 4,300 and 4,500 calls have seen trades of around 38,620 and 32,450, contracts, respectively. The 4,300 call open interest has shot up by 9.86 lakh shares to 23.56 lakh shares, and the 4,500 call open interest has increased by 7.16 lakh shares to 20.13 lakh shares.

The Nifty 4,600 call has seen trades of around 19,920 contracs, and the open interest has moved up by 4.15 lakh shares to 15.34 lakh shares.

PUT ACTION

The Nifty September 4,300 and 4,200 puts are the most active counters with trades of around 47,770 and 45,820, contracts, respectively so far. The 4,300 put open interest has increased by 14 lakh shares to over 32.70 lakh shares, and 4,200 put open interest has risen up by nearly eight lakh shares to 38 lakh shares.

The Nifty 4,000 and 4,100 puts have seen trades of around 16,940 and 14,450, contracts, respectively. The 4,000 put open interest has increased by 3.18 lakh shares to 29.62 lakh shares, and the 4,100 put open interest has moved up by over two lakh shares to 14.65 lakh shares.

The Nifty 4,400 put has seen trades of around 8,730 contracts, and the open interest has increased by 2.83 lakh shares to 11.89 lakh shares.
