Global economic growth will slow to 2.7 per cent this year from 4.9 per cent in 2000 with the biggest risk to recovery posed by a possible deep US recession, the Economist Intelligence Unit said. It also added that the US economy would grow by just 1.5 per cent this year, after expanding 5 per cent in 2000.
